I've got several props on my Wall of Shame, from my pusher ultralight days. Off airport pushers can be very hard on props, fenders are a good idea. Mud isn't the issue so much as gravel bar rocks. On tractors all I it does is beat up the belly and the hor stab usually, but at least you can fly away and patch it later.
