Put some big(ish) tires on my 185

Bought these a while back from a great member here and I've finally got around to putting them on the 185. It was howling wind today and my wheel flying is pretty rusty so I haven't gone up yet, but she's looking good and I can't wait to go for a boot. ABI 10in wheels and 29in Airhawks.

You will like that set up on your 185. I like mine when I switch between those and my 8:50 x 6's

I did get to fly on the weekend and I like them so far. Need to get used to them a bit, and get re-accustomed to wheel gear, before I start landing in more challenging spots.

I agree.

The bigger tires change the touchdown picture slightly but enough to notice for sure. I do like the wider footprint and the fact at cruise the drag difference is negligible being that that the brake caliper is enclosed by the wheel assembly. I see a 1-3 knot decrease in cruise is all between my 850x6 and 850x10's. I have 32 pound difference between the tow setups and little change in CG range.
