Quick Maule flight

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Quick Maule flight

We had an SNJ in the hangar this weekend for a full detailing treatment and, since we had to take the Maule and the 195 out to fit it in, decided to do a little flying while we had some pleasant winter weather. Got a bunch of nice video also, but here's a photo to wet the appetite until the video gets used somewhere...

Re: Quick Maule flight

Dang it's sweet to see air-to-air shots of the birds members fly. I've got to go flying with some other pilots so I can get a photo of my bird in the air. Best I've been able to do so far is have my wife take a couple shots while I made a low pass at the private strip I used to be based at. Sigh. The picture does seem to show a pretty nice winter day. No sky was visible and no sharp shadows on the ground, so I suspect there was a high overcast that day. Still, you got airborne and that's what counts!

High, thin overcast indeed. Makes for an above average day for photography as the entire world acts as a softbox for you. I've been loving doing air to air work lately. Be happy to fly with any BCPers who are interested.

Great photos, esp the first one where you're cranked over in a turn.
Gary, I wouldn't mind some air-to-airs of my own airplane. We should get together & do that when the weather gets nice later this year.
