R44 practice 180 degree autorotations (Kona winds)

The Kona winds have completely knocked out the typical inversion layer. Which means the atmospheric lapse rate is pretty fast. Possibly TS activity in the vicinity. Dew point spread is zero near the convection.

Anyway, nothing significant in our path for now. Practicing 180 degree autorotations and doing a halfway decent job. My instructor can teach even me, which is amazing! Ha ha. Life is good in a helicopter. Like surfing, helicopter flying makes you forget about everything and I just enjoy myself. Let’s go flying with Neil Diamond playing...
