ramp takeoff

A gloomy day, with real flat light, making some subsequent landings even by tree lines kinda iffy as per depth perception. By that I mean the tree lines helped in the landing, but I still was hitting drifts I couldn't see until on them. Mostly this flight was a test on my new radiator divertor valve system. More on that later for you guys with liquid cooled Rotax's.... A neighbor I had skied with earlier came by and shot this, he also got the landing and taxi up the ramp, but neglected to remove the lense cap, as I have also done more then once with this camera #-o

While the swiss muffler looks way funky, the drag and weight are no big deal, as in I can't tell the difference, and the vid camera mike tells how it works noise wise, very well!

I had a reason to cruise a bit faster the other day (iffy weather and getting late) and while delivering another solar panel to a guy in Logan Utah I was making 97 mph indicated at 6,000' asl with a fair bit of throttle left over, not bad for a 100 horse ski plane. This year I re rigged the skis inflight AOA, and picked back up the few MPH I had lost in switching from the 26" Airstreaks to the skis.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_K3fPhGtTmw
