Didn't intend to insinuate that they aren't cool. Actually, really cool and nice video & countryside as well. Would have never guess $87K though.

Believe it or not, that's cheap as hell for something that strong and light. MacCready's super light airplanes cost a lot more than that. In some cases (add strength to existing wood or glass wing spar) carbon is actually cheaper than many other choices. In other applications (super light weight brand new design vehicle) carbon gets expensive.
