Reskinning a 206 Horizontal

Skinning a horizontal is a lot of work. Very labor intensive.

A jig is very important. Being able to work on it vertical also makes all the difference in the world.

A Riveting Experience

Similar to riveting a wing, you work from the leading edge, aft.

Great work! How did you get the leading edge bend? Just by using the rivet holes to pull it around?

The bends are made in a brake.

Thanks for sharing, it is nice to see how it is done. Looks like satisfying work.

Would it be easier if you could get the jig a little higher? As I get older I spend more time getting work at a comfortable height and it is time well spent for me.

Re: Reskinning a 206 Horizontal

Great work! I had my Skywagon stabilizer reskinned last winter by Bentley Air in Bend Oregon.

I installed the Tanalian Aviation replaceable leading edge STC. It's probably my favorite mod on my plane.

They make it for the 206 as well.

It is so nice seeing quality work. You obviously care about the finished product. The 182 project your doing is equally impressive.
