I flew a T210 with RSTOL into many grass strips. You want STOL at high elevation? Get a turbo.
The undercarriage on a 210 is tougher than you think. I didn’t choose any primitive strips, but I made a couple hard landings, and can attest!
Piper Comanche is a lot of bang for the buck. Tough gear. It’ll handle rough, but isn’t a STOL performer.
