River playing

New to the forum and thought I'd post a photo of my bird playing on a sandbar.

Re: River playing

Very cool! I have never seen a woody pusher before, I had to look them up. Looks like a blast on big tires!

It is better to be late in this world, than early in the next.

Re: River playing

That looks like so much fun, I can vividly imagine flying low along the rivers in it. What's the thing down on the bottom, where the Boo decal is? Looked up pics of other pushers and didn't see it on others.

It is just as much fun as you can imagine in your minds eye, The flap between the gear legs is just that a flap with three positions primarily to help me pop off the ground for shorter take off runs.
You won't see the flap on any other Woody, that's my personal creation as well as the spades on the ailerons and the tail wheel skid.

I noticed the skid as well but forgot to mention it. That's cool, and I applaud your ingenuity on the flap!

Yea, I did think about the tri-planes look when mounting my flap, But I don't think theirs was a functioning flap was it ?

It wasn't a flap in terms of it being adjustable, but it was definitely designed to be a lifting surface.
