Rugged but scenic grass/dirt strip for filming in the NW?

I might, or might not ( ), be trying to "cast" a rugged looking airfield for a future filming location for a yet secret project. In the script it's basically supposed to be somewhere in the NW area - wooded, a bit rough and interesting looking - Oregon, Washington, Canada, the Rockies etc. Interesting as in challenging. Ideally grass, but gravel also works. The muddier, dirtier and nastier the better. In a dream world, the airstrip should be surrounded by big trees close to the strip and/or be in or near mountainous terrain. Ideally no structures on it at all so it looks like its in the deep wilderness. The closer to SoCal the better, but we can fly to anywhere. Strip can be short, but needs to be able to land a lightly loaded Commander twin, so should ideally have 1500-2000ft.

Anything in the venerable members neck of the woods that fits the description and would be viable? Could also be something you've just flown past - all suggestions appreciated.

The Dean River strip by Bella Coola BC would be a good one.

Our own "totem pole" would work! Tight trees, mountains and mud. What else could you ask for...those that have been there know...3 hours from LA

The airplane scenes in the old Northern Exposure TV series was filmed at the state-owned grass strip at Easton WA just east of Snoqualmie Pass next to I-90.
Should be long enough for a Twin Commander, but not muddy & ugly though,

Upper Loon Creek would be another good option

Thanks for great suggestions. I will be looking into all of them. Upper loon Creek looks nice, but at that elevation I fear it could be a little bit marginal perhaps.

Akt - where is your strip?

Funny I recently met some guys at McKenzie Bridge (00S) in Oregon who were filming one of those Bigfoot TV shows at the strip... So maybe McKenzie Bridge, and also Tokatee (3S6) which is about 30min to the south of McKenzie Bridge might be worth checking out.
