Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

a64- I do have the "Mixture Mizer" single probe egt...the probe is installed on the "hottest" cylinder. It reads a relative temperature, you peak it to a lean setting and then richen back to another cruise setting. It doesn't read any temperatures.

I've not played with a mixture mizer, but if it indicates EGT by any means then it will indicate higher on one mag. Give it a try.

Thanks, Don, for the compliment. Made me smile in my bummed out, longing to fly state.

It's got all new wires and recently cleaned plugs. I visually checked that as soon as I got the cowl off and all looked well. In hindsight, she showed a little "morning sickness" that day, so I think I'll find it has a stuck valve. I'm headed to the hangar later today.

If it just has a deposit it may be cleared by staking the valves, This worked for me on my franklin and it has been good since then.

P.S. the valves don't like Hinze 57 :?
