That's pretty hot looking!

I love the way RVs fly, but it always seemed that they could only land on super smooth surfaces. I wonder how the spindly gear legs would hold up to any rougher surfaces with 8.50s on the end.

Re: RV6 on 8.50's

I put my RV9 on 800s a few years ago and have been to a number of remote strips in northern BC/Yukon. Works pretty well if you are careful. The 9 lands fairly slowly (~44mph stall full flaps) and can get into some fairly short places if necessary. Yes, at the high end I lose about 10 mph with the big tires but could probably regain 9 of that if I built some fairings.

Greg,
Any pictures of the RV9 on 8:00's?
I would think that would be a great setup.
