Ice Pilots NWT Facebook page wrote:The Ice Pilots NWT lost a family member yesterday.

While filming with a different production company in Kenya, Director/Cameraman John Driftmier was involved in a fatal plane crash.

At only 30 years old, John was talented beyond his years. He had an infectious personality that could light up a room, and a work ethic that was second to none. It was a true blessing to know and work with him and all of us on Ice Pilots are shocked and saddened by his passing.

John is survived by his Wife Carolyn, his parents, and siblings.

It is a sad tragedy, but that's how I want to go, enjoying life to its fullest with no questions of coulda, shoulda, or woulda!

No.... Did!
