Saying Hello!

Image

Longtime lurker, figured it was time to join and say hello.

Currently fly a Carbon Cub, and working building a Carbon Cub ELSA Kit that will go on floats when completed. My wife and I enjoy back country flying and camping, and I have also enjoyed reading the adventurs of others posted on here. Might post one or two of our own adventures in the future. I'm sure I have met one or two of you on a gravel bar or a dirt strip somewhere along the way, or will in the future. At least I hope so!

I am with Blu - that's a great picture! It's also a nice ride you have.

Hi Brad, I'm sure we have crossed paths somewhere here in NW Oregon. I'm at Troutdale. Where you based?

Cheers...Rob

Re: Saying Hello!

Hey Guys - thanks for the welcome!

Rob - The Cub in the picture is an SLSA factory built one. I don't own it, but I do get to fly it. The only things I don't like about it are that it doesn't have the extended baggage mod and the SLSA version is illegal to fly at night. The ELSA kit won't have those issues.

OregonMaule - I'm based out of Starks (7S3). I saw your pictures in the airplane camping thread, and I do think I recognize your airplane. I think we might have met on a Willamette gravel bar a few years back. I was flying a blue and white Cessna 205 at the time, outfitted with large tires for unimproved areas. I will make it a point to say hello next time I see your ride.
