This video was shot only about 50 miles from Tumbler Ridge (I actually flew right over Tumbler Ridge on the way home). Be careful if you do make it out for a trip. The wonky weather has made for some highly variable avalanche conditions this year. It's not been an awful year overall (despite the tragedy out towards McBride), but it seems like conditions vary wildly from weekend to weekend. The recent heating trend has helped to settle the snowpack, but here are a couple of deepish less stable layers (plus a crust that the warm weather has created) that have the potential to get quite ugly if we wind up getting another dump before spring.Crzyivan13 wrote:That's some beautiful country for sure. I mounted it to the left tiedown ring. I normally include the nosewheel and part of the cowling when I set up the camera, but I thought I'd try something different this time. I like how it turned out.

Beaver creek is my favorite place there. Ya the temperatures and hore frost have made the snow pack quite unstable. And being in an avalanche isn't fun, experience talking.
