SBP just had an accident
Debrief, share, and hopefully learn from the mistakes of others.

I was listening to the tower on liveatc and heard what I think was a champ call in with an emergency. He said he couldn't make the airport and was going to try for a field just west of the city. An RV was out for a local flight and headed over to follow him down. The RV pilot said he hit a stand of trees about 50' off the ground then disappeared from view.
This picture doesn't look good.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
and from 8000 miles away.
