Schneider tail wheel ski application chart?

I aquired a Schneider tail wheel penetration ski, Model 1000-8 but I have been unable to find an application chart. Anyone help?

Re: Schneider tail wheel ski application chart?

Nope.
The only ski plane I have flown had a modified medium sized scoop (grain) shovel that the TW sat near the front of......(on this application the 'front' was where the handle would have been).
It worked very well.... (nothing to compare it to, though). It came with the Std airworthiness Cub bought out of Canada.

PS The grain shovels I had the 'privilege' of operating (summer farm work) were HUGE. By 'grain shovel' standards it probably would have been considered a small.....?

With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece).

The Alaska FSDOs have always been pretty willing to issue field approvals on tail skis. I doubt you'll find ANY approvals for that tail ski, other than FA's.

Find a good mechanic in the neighborhood and see if he can get the paperwork sorted out for you.

I talked to my mechanic and he knew what I was asking and his answer was the Scott 3200 series tailwheel. I sold the ski to a fellow with a cub.

The tail ski on the PA12 I fly occasionally, uses what I would call a coal shovel, they are quite a bit smaller than a grain shovel. No matter what, using it as a ski is a lot more fun then what I am accustomed to using shovels for.
