Seattle Trip

I will be traveling to Seattle in mid August to visit my brother and would like to go salmon fishing in the sound. Does anybody know of a good party boat company or a fishing guide. I am not looking to spend lots of money, but am willing to pay for good service. Any input would be helpful, as my knowledge of the area is limited to internet searches.

Re: Seattle Trip

If you have time, take a flight or drive down to Astoria. Mid/Late August is the height of the famous Columbia River Buoy 10 Salmon season. I know quite a few reputable charters out of Ilwaco,WA that do a good job for a reasonable price.

Ocean Salmon fishing out of Westport, WA should be hopping around then also. They are both a bit of a drive from Seattle, but they are typically guaranteed limits in late August.

Thanks for the info. There seems to be quite a few boats available in Westport. I think it will be worth the drive, wish I was able to fly but I am taking the big iron due to time constraints.
