Re: Secondary radio options or recommendations?

Hotrod,

That's pretty neat little unit. I ended up going a slightly different route. I spent a bit more, and went with Garmin 225. I've had it for several months now, and couldn't be happier. Easy to use and very easy to read. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/a ... gtr225.php

I now have the 225 as my primary com, and moved my kx 125 as my secondary and relocated the 396 up to the top of my stack- just under my audio panel.

Re: Secondary radio options or recommendations?

One of my main reasons for upgrading my older radio was to "clean up" the old radio components just behind the baggage compartment to give way for my Selkirk extended baggage. Here are some before and after photos. These are older photo's-- since these photos were taken, the older elt has been replaced with 406 elt and it's now located behind the extended baggage. Not as much room as the extended baggage in a straight tail, but more than doubles the room I had, and I'm able to pack what my family and I need for camping.
