Seriously disappointing news

Well, I was just on the AOPA web site and according to the home page they have given the catch a Cardinal airplane to someone other than me.

I am hoping that since tomorrow is my birthday this is all part of an elaborate plan and when I open the hanger at 1G0 tomorrow morning for my next lesson, instead of the old Cherokee I am getting familiar with, there will be a shiny new Cardinal waiting for me. My wife got her hair done today and she said she has a surprise for me....hmmmm......

Well off to bed, I need to make sure I give everyone time to put it all together and surprise me. :D

Ever notice how those planes never seem to go to Joe-Schmuck who joined the AOPA a few years ago and flys a rented Cessna 172 a couple dozen hours a year? Sometimes I wonder about the lottery process...

Man, no kiddin! It's always the CFI/MULTI/ATP/LAWYER/DOCTOR golden child.

I guess those of us living amongst the great unwashed masses don't rate.

And then there are those MORONS who win the lottery and say they'll keep their job. Eaagghgh!!! Where's my gun....

Seems like reason enough not to belong to AOPA, one could spend the dues on lottery tickets.

I bought beer and my wife a movie instead

Thanks Jeff, not exactly....

High winds low clouds, so I couldn't go flying, went to work instead.

Apparently that guy on the AOPA site really did win the plane, not me

But I got to spend the evening eating a nice dinner, spend time with the kids, and my wife got me a really nice VERY COOL P-38 Lightning painting in a nice cherry frame to hang in my office.

Anything airplanes is good with me.

Now if my wish for good weather this weekend comes true maybe I can get more landings to prepare for my solo! 8)

That Schmuck could've been me! I KNEW I shouldn't have bought that plane.
