Setting up Mogas station
Nothing happens without it. Discuss fuel locations, quality, alternatives, and anything else related to this critical resource.
How do you make money selling gas? Do you need to mark it up a buck? Two? Those fueling systems look expensive and the insurance sounds like it would be too. I see fuel caps and cigarette butts laying around all the time at ours, that's got to make the fuel guy shudder. I own a hanger that was once the FBO so it still has all the wiring, lights and barricades for a fuel system but I've always been scared to pursue it.

I bet EPA, OSHA, and the county would be your biggest headaches.

I suspect Jim is correct. The USA used to be a country that said yes I can do that. Now we are the country that says, maybe I can do that but first I have to ask permission of the lawyers, government, and the insurance, and so it goes. We wounder why gas cost so much. Some of the cost goes to pay the aforementioned groups who stand between you and your goal with their hands out.
Of course it is for our own good! We are to stupid. Our lawyer, government, and insurance masters say so.
Keep going whee. Check what Jim said and see if it will pencil. The airports I have bought mogas at are over a dollar cheaper than avgas. Cal Black, Az. and Lebanon, Or.
Good day
