Are the river scenes on the Skagit? How big are your tires, and what are the rules around those areas? It looks like fun.

Yes Skagit some and Stilly other gravel bars, 700 on the nose and 850s on the mains.

How did that guy in the mooeny get the gear up so sweetly? And what kind of mooney is it?

That’s Bryan (piperpainter). That was his 1965 M20C, the gear retraction was so quick because it has manual gear... that and lots of practice using it. He’s had that Mooney into a lot of places you wouldn’t expect seeing one... like the time we went to Soldier Bar. He sold the Mooney about a year ago and moved up to a 205.

It's clear to see he is a very skilled operator of that aircraft! Will he bring the Mooney 205 into the same small places?
