I figure that title will at least get us into a watch list.
This video showcases our very own COURIERGUY!
He's the Sean Connery of Backcountry Flying. He's done it all and he just doesn't get burned out. He keeps going and improving. He's the kind of dude we owe a lot to for all of his extreme test flying.
Anyway, he also let me make a video, so that's kinda neato.

I have to say I look like a liar in this video. I'm talking about how "that's all my plane had on final". But you can hear me throttle back two seconds before landing.
But in reality there was zero chance of a go-round. The glide slope I set about a mile from the strip was pretty much the one we had to stick with. Between being fully loaded, the altitude and the crappy air, we were coming down whether we wanted to or not. It all worked out on target. Luck prevails.
The shakiness of my little camera drives me crazy when I'm editing this. Hopefully the content will make it worth watching. The beginning might only interest S7 pilots. We are swapping stories of what has broken on us and what is awesome about the plane...We were so excited like that little Bumble Bee in that No Rain video. We had found each other after all these years...
I sort of felt bad for Lindsay having to stick it through all that shop talk but it paid off because Simko treated us to coffee and told us some cool stories inside.
He had near brushes with some of the more notorious occupants of planet earth.
He was highly sought after as an experienced ultralight pilot back when they were a little more dangerous. He was in the National Geographic magazine that was sitting on his tool bench. I actually sent him that copy a month before...it's not like he has them out like I do that one Kitplanes® magazine..."Oh that old rag? It's nothing--i think i might be in the centerfold--no big deal"
Anyway, Simko graciously took 30lbs of baggage for us and we got out just fine. We headed to Blackfoot to visit Milloway and friends. It was rather fulfilling.
Thanks Idaho boys!
