Mission Pilot in training. C-170B N8098A.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up on wings as eagles... Isaiah 40:31
What little I know. The Barron Family (restorers of C 195s) Son Mike started managing the Hannibal Airport in Missouri while on a furl-low from American. They really had been making the airport a point of activity in the community. Flight instruction, Gliders, Skydiving. They have a C172 for towing and skydiving, C195 for skydiving, and the Beech 18. All painted to match. Bunch of pilots young and old running around trying to make it happen. The Skydiving Group in Taylorville Mo were having a large get together and had the Beech come over to fly. 3rd Flight of the Day on jump run at altitude with skydivers in the door the pilot appears to have stalled the plane. another report was the aircraft was incorrectly configured for jump run. The 12 jumpers left the aircraft without incident but the pilot was unable to regain control. My information was from source (Pilot) inside the hanger and heard the aircraft hit but didnt see it. I am waiting for better eye witness reports. It is a loss to General Aviation if this accident slows their efforts.
