Rob,
That is totally insane! Glad you made it.
Thank you for the picture. A stark reminder of winter dangers to come.

Brian.
Lookin' good!
Seeing that you operate out of a private strip, I gotta ask, do you allow others to drop in and say hi?

Anytime...OR96 is the identifier.... Find us on Airnav.... 123.3 Unicom
I am usually around during the standard week day....

We had about 6 inches here in Sparks early Wednesday.....which I cleared on Thursday. Another 4" drop over night leaves me with chores this morning. My dadgum avatar took a dump in the living room yesterday because she hates the cold. She's still alive but breathing slow....it's supposed to dip to 4 below tomorrow morning.

Nevada was "hammered" with snow! Very interest.

Tyler Adams, aka Chosstronaut, perished in a mid-air collision October 12, 2014. He was an enthusiastic and beloved contributor and he will be missed greatly.

Regarding 8GCBC's screen shot; notice that diagonal stripe across North Texas through Oklahoma and Missouri then across the rust belt. Then take a look at the larger picture on satellite. Those folks are in for a LONG one.

I am an Islander ( not a mainlander ). So I can't comment from empirical knowledge.
But, the contrast in snow covering is startling to me! Wow!

Blue skies all around so far today in my part of Central Oregon. Sun is shining and a balmy 15F. The progs show a week high pressure in the area now and a better one on it's way

! This has been an effective arctic front to say the least. And it does look like it's building in intensity as it pushes forward?? A good reason to stay inside for me!

Oh man am I jealous! Do you ski other than with the Scout? I have a season pass to Hoodoo and a house 15min away.

I can get skis for the Savannah, so hopefully someday!

Hi Chosstronaut,
My goal, to get on old fashion snow skis when in Oregon. Flown over Hoodoo a bunch, but have not had the honor yet. The airplane is taking all my time. Here are some pictures from last winter..
