SOLD*** 1966 Cessna 182J ***

Well, I've tossed and turned over this decision and have finally gotten good and fed up with the hassles each year to renew my special issuance medical, especially considering the cost of a nuclear stress test, echocardiogram, etc and give. I've decided to go light sport. Unfortunately, that means my wonderful 182 must go.

1966 C182J TTAF 3047, Cont-0470R SMOH 684, SPOH 709. SL60 gps/com driving a MX20 multi-functional display with enhanced Alaska database (all you need for Capstone is the Garmin box). SL70 transponder Mode C. Garmin 296 in Air Gizmo panel mount at bottom of stack as secondary Nav. JPI Fuelscan 450. Electronics International digital oil pressure/temp and digital colts/amp guages. PAI Vertical card compass. 6 channel EGT/CHT. Max Pulse landing light flasher. Horton STOL, BAS inertia reel harnesses, Rosen Sunvisors, Precise Flow air vents, Selkirk extended baggage. 8.00x6 mains w/double puck brakes, 206 nose fork. Newer vented fuel caps. Custom covers for wings, engine, prop, cabin, and horizontal. All logs, NDH, AD's current. In current annual. Very fast and fun in the air. 23"MP & 2300 RPM = 142-145 IAS. My avatar has a small pic of the bird. Asking $58,999.00

SOLD on 5/30/13

Sorry you've made that decision--sounds like the ol' Skylane is a really nice bird. Sorry, not in the market, but if it's as good as it sounds, you'll be able to sell it quickly.

I recently sold a really nice 182 and went LSA for similar reasons. I hope your only regrets are the same as mine, which are that I should have done it sooner. I fly more, spend less, and have way more fun. Good luck, selling the 182 was also super easy!

Thanks for the kind words. I will really miss the panel in the bird and that nice MX20 display, but then again, a gps on the glareshield is how I flew for a long time....lol Will go from 12.5 gph to about 5 or 6..:) Won't kick about that.

A buddy of mine has already started whispering about such things as 150hp Champs.....and I find myself starting to grin. I hope it means that I'm making the right decision. Hope it doesn't take too long though, as I don't want to spend the summer without a medical and flying too. I let the medical die in October.
