Anyone else read through the 2010 Aviator Survey in this months Sport Aviation Mag the EAA puts out? It's 3 pages of a survey they a bunch of flyers completed. A couple caught my eye

92% of us have driven past a field and thought about landing it
84% have been in an airliner and dreamt about the pilot getting ill and we land the plane safely
40% have not touched a E6-B since their checkride
150 with your beast friend or P-51 with worst enemy... 53% chose the P51
52% would rather give up sex for a year than flying
Average amount we spend on flying every year $10,569

There was a bunch more but I thought these ones were sort of interesting. I like the first one.. I am most definitely guilty of that one.

Real pilots refer to that as "solo-ing", aka getting some "stick time".

I had an old pilot mentor give me some sage advice many years ago.

1. Never pass up an opportunity to drink.
2. Never pass up an opportunity to pee.
3. Never, never ignore an erection, even if you are alone!

So, my old mentor agrees that self love would qualify.

Several years back I was in on a conversation with some retired guys (65-70ish). The topic of sex in the morning came up. One of the guy's stated "at his age he would just as soon have a bowl of Corn Flakes".
