Some Ohio Action Yesterday

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Some Ohio Action Yesterday

We met up at a bean field next to Frazeysburg for breakfast.

I led them into some places none of them had been to before.

one of the favorites, a two track dirt farm road.

and a farmer fending off phone calls from neighbors asking him why 7 airplanes landed in his field!
Image

also a big hello to an OBP fan from Chillicothe Bob Blue!

The icing on the cake was this "top secret" hangar. We can't tell you were this is, so please don't ask.

Nice pics John!

I was almost finished with editing the videos from last week and the computer with all the video files crashed and nuked the hard drive. I hope that I can save them. The video was looking good too. Crap.

Evan - good luck with that! I have been there, done that, but had the bad luck.

PS: what do you know about a red & white Cherokee?

Ouch Crazyivan, i've only truly lost one hard drive so far but it was 2TB including some treasured Bob and Pops source files. I can still picture Bob using his limited edition SuperDuperExperimental Cub doing donuts in the mud at the bottom of the Cherry Orchard. I was going to save it for an greatest hits compilation since Dad tunes in to my videos and I didn't want him seeing us making mud pits out of cow pastures so I kept it out of the "Valdez or Bust Video"...(residue disciplinary action from my teenage years that stuck for some reason). I wish i had just published it. I bought an identical hard drive to extract the platters and instal in a new box, but was unsuccessful. They are still over here awaiting data recovery prices to come down. I have about every external HD case if you want to try slaving the HD on a Mac.

Thanks.

I fly with a couple guys here at KPKB that have a red and white Dakota? I fly the club plane which is a blue and white 140/160hp Cherokee.

Gregory,
I bought the computer new in November from Cybertron. Its essentially a gaming PC. I just talked to the company, its still under warranty and they are gonna send me some whocrash thing to diagnose and then maybe repair it. Luckily all the videos from Saturday are still on my cameras so if nothing else I have that. However all the videos I made to date are gone I think. As for the Mac, our IT guy here in the office said, "why do you not have a Mac yet?"............I'm on the verge! (Apparently the video editing software that comes with the Mac is pretty sweet?)

Re: Some Ohio Action Yesterday

Not sure about what comes with a mac these days. I'm so 2007 and not upgrading any time soon. I'm surprised i can even see this web site my OS is so old. All video software is about the same though. Pick in and out points and slap them in a timeline.
Hope they help you with the computer. The good news is, we can make more videos!

New hard drive is coming tomorrow and under warranty. We shall see if zie data survives. They are gonna talk me through it and hopefully all will end well.

I'm in for making more. After watching my videos I'm gonna have to gimble mount the camera (shaky shake)

I use iMovie quite a bit. It's pretty nice, but does have some rough edges. To be fair, though, all video editing apps have rough edges. As far as the mac in general, I switched 6 or 7 years ago and I love it. Sorry about your hard drive!
