Sorry for the spam this morning...

Due to a misconfiguration of the site comments software, every single user was sent an email notification about a new comment posted on the "Family flying...Backcountry style!" article. Very embarrassing. Won't happen again.

I didn't get one, boy do I feel left out.
I have noticed that when I hit the reply button it takes me off to a facebook style comments page. I have to hit the back button then reply again and I am here.
In other news I gave notice for my job in Saudi last night, effective Aug. 31 but since we are on vacation around the 15th I might actually be home for my 30th wedding anniversary AND my birthday. This has the potential to be only the second time in 16 years I have made both......

Humor may not make the world go around, but it certainly cheers up the process... :)
With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece).

Me too--must be my deodorant.

On another point, although I'm logged in, when I go to reply, the site tells me that I'm not logged in but on that same page, it shows my comments from the last few days. Then if I click on "latest forum topics", I go back to the thread I was wanting to reply to, and then I can reply. Not complaining--just thought you should know, as it appears to be an unintended glitch.

I think the system batches the email notifications, so it doesn't send all 4000 at once. :) I think I caught it before it sent too many, so you dodged a bullet! :)

There is a like button in communities but I'd also like to see a LIKE for regular posts.

Re: Sorry for the spam this morning...

I just figured you were giving it some publicity and traction!

Also saw the article was posted on FB. Kind of a cool surprise this morning that several friends have gone to the site to read.
