Yes Sir, kids and I got a ride over last Thursday in a friends mooney and flew ol' x-ray home.

"When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it..." HENRY FORD
That was a great edit! I like the creativity on the plane appearing and then over flying the other on landing at 5:37.
I hope to see you Oregon boys at are fly in here in two weeks!

If it looks smooth, it might be. If it looks rough, it is...www.bigtirepilot.com ...www.alaskaheliski.com
Looks like great fun! Enjoy the great fall flying while you can, and keep sharing the results of those trips with your posts and videos!

Thanks for the warm invite Kevin. I'm planning on it and have the calendar cleared for Thursday, Friday, and have to leave Saturday morning to take care of another commitment back home.
Wx being the only issue at this time, I need a good guarantee I can make it home Saturday in order to launch.
I haven't RSVP'd yet but as soon as the forecast is solid I will. Been looking forward to it since your fly-in report from last year.
Hope to see you in 2 weeks!

Tom Weiss perished in a mid-air collision October 12, 2014. He was an enthusiastic and beloved contributor here for close to 10 years, and he will be missed greatly.

Bummer, I was hoping to convince you to let me fly it over to you and Scolopax could follow and bring me home

Missed oportunities.
Sorry for the minor thread drift TomW. Can't wait for part two. And if you guys cross the mountains again on your next trip there's probably a few of us that that would shoot out to meet up!
