Even though I am from Utah I don't know southern Utah very well particularly when it comes to places to eat that are either at the airport or within a short walk (a mile or less). I am planning a trip with my brother and my two oldest boys and while we plan on camping we also like to hit up a greasy dive one for lunch.

So, where is your favorite airport cafe in Southern Utah?

The first ones that come to me are Gateway/Hubbard (CO3), Monument Valley (UT25)) Bluff(Forgot ID), Used to be a coutesy car at Monticello, short drive to town and a few good places. Depending on what you are flying, Mexican Hat was good.

You could walk to Blondie's in Hanksville (HVE), I'd guess its about a mile. Someone will always give you a ride back. Killer breakfast and burgers. Stan's at the Chevron across the street is good too.

I believe that courtesy car is still in Monticello. Blanding and Kanab have courtesy cars too.

Monument Valley has some good food at Gouldings Trading Post. And although I've not been there, some on here have been to Cliff Dwellers Lodge. Might be worth checking out. It's on my list. We had a nice poolside lunch at Hubbard last summer.

Good chow at Bullfrog Marina, call and a van will pick you up. Blanding had a car and short trip into town to several cafes.

Lee's Fairy is right above there, haven't been there in a long time, but it was always good, and good milk shakes.

You probly should verify this, but you may have to pay a $30 admittance fee to get into the park to get to the food

Duh, I forgot to mention Marble Canyon as its not technically in Utah but a nice flight down the Paria (close to Kanab) would put you over Lee's Ferry and on downwind for the strip. You may have to walk almost 50 paces to the lodge/cafe across the street.. and the milkshakes as SF mentioned.
