My neighbor has a buddy who works for Scaled Composites, and I got this in a email before it was linked to youtube. Pretty frigging cool, keep in mind the crowd oohing and ahhing have seen lots of incredible flybys and amazing flying machines. There were almost all pilots and/or engineers, and the simple fact the flyby happened there at all tells you a lot about the audience. I got to see the fly by from the roof of one of the airport buildings. Once the 747 and Shuttle took off from EDW the office and shop emptied to go gawk. I don't know if it was the history or knowing that it was making its last flight, but it left a serious impression. To add to the fun, there were several 1st generation jet fighters roaming around the air port and Old School took off and flew overhead between 747 passes.

It was a great day to work in the geographic center of nowhere.
