It sounded like a solid conservative decision to abort. I was disappointed with the CNN web coverage of the launch, referring to the rocket "fizzling" on the launch pad. I'd rather see a responsible and measured response to something unexpected than a launch that results in failure.

My Dad used to work for Rocketdyne, my earliest memory is going to watch minuteman missile engine test firing on the static rig from the blockhouse. Failures are a bad thing, and set a program back for years, especially on a new design rocket. Just ask the French about the Ariane 5 failure, set it back a long ways and made the launch insurance very expensive. Engineers and the software did the right thing.

An interesting aspect of the launch procedures by SpaceX is to keep the rocket secured to the pad, until engine run ups and checks are complete.

Again, if you can't sleep the launch is scheduled for 344 EDT, Tuesday morning.....my money is a good launch that puts the "Dragon" into a good orbit. I am terrible on time zones, but that should be about 1244 PDT..?

The initial approach/flyby by Dragon was successful which leads to the capture and docking tomorrow.

Coverage at spaceflightnow.com should begin about 5am and run until about 10am, those should be EDT, but not sure.

Dragon has 3 cameras, one on each solar wing and one inside the capsule. Should be video available to watch but may be in infrared spectrum only.....
