Speaking of Squirrels and .17's.

If some of you are interested in getting out the "smal"l arms and varmint hunting here are some other thoughts for you.
I haven't done this yet myself, I have only landed at these places. I have thought about going out to Laidlaw Corrals, Hollow Top, or Coxs Well to do some Rock Chuck or Coyote hunting. Hollow Top and Coxs Well are both close to the Lava flows. Just a thought for those looking for some cheap, open seasons. Might want something bigger for Coyotes of course but they are there too!

If you're not scarin' yourself, you're not scarin' the crowd!

I'd add Bear Trap (1U0), too.

Last (and only) time I was into Laidlaw Corrals I nearly lost all my fillings it was so rough ('97), so I'd want to talk to someone who has been in there recently to see if it had been graded. George?

Yeah it's a bit rough, I think they all are though. I landed my Thrush there on the way home from seeding out at Bear Trap last November. Bear Trap is no ice rink either, especially on the west end and there were a few larger holes along the north side of the west half. I flew 29 loads out of there with no problems though, I just let all of the crap fall out of the cubby in my panel onto the floor on the first takeoff and didn't pick it up until the ferry home! None of those places are mindless line up and land though. They all have holes here and there, you've just got to fly over them a couple of times and pick your line.
Yeah it's me.

I landed at Bear Trap that same trip and it was like a golf course compared to Laidlaw, so somebody must have graded it. That was ten years ago.

Anyone been into Hell's Canyon yet this spring?

George, I'm planning on flying Sunday (tomorrow) in the Gooding area, you gonna be around?
