Sport Aircraft Seats is a BCP sponsor

Excited to have Sport Aircraft Seats of Wasilla, Alaska on board as an advertising partner with BCP. If you're not familiar, they manufacture new seat aircraft seat covers to your spec and send them out to you, wherever you are in the world. They install in minutes and feel/look great.

Examples:

Here's a summary from Daniel, the company owner:

Sport Aircraft Seats is an Alaska based company that has been building aircraft seat upholstery for the past 9 years. They use the highest quality FAA approved fabrics, leather and foam to make the most comfortable, durable, safe and stylish seats you can get.

They have created a revolutionary seat upholstery system that allows customers to design and order seats online and install them in minutes over their existing seat frames. Each kit includes everything you need to completely reupholster your seats from the frames up. The covers are made to withstand everything the backcountry can dish out and the foam is ergonomically designed to be comfortable on long flights.

If you're in the market for an overhaul of your seats, visit Sport Aircraft Seats to see if they can set you up.

I was recently checking out a friend's new Sport Seats in his 180. They are super good looking and very comfy to sit in. The leather they use is first class.

I would love to see an alternative to the uncomfortable hideously expensive Oregon Aero seats in the Husky!

Speaking to Sport Aircraft:

Great to have you aboard...but that semi-animated advertisement is incredibly annoying, to me anyway. Damn near gives me a seizure. Slow it down or add more frames or keep it from repeating ad nauseum, but please do something...I'm getting a headache.

Well that makes sense...you kids these days have such short attention spans. I don't know how your generation ever sat still long enough to master the abacus or churn a decent butter...

Didn’t watch the ad, but the design your seat function is very seductive. I did not know I wanted seats until I used it.

The seats look great.

This looks like an excellent product! Thanks for the sponsorship!

They fit the supercub Great and are super comfortable. Didn’t take too long for him to make and ship.

Can't say enough about the ease and comfort of these seats. If you are stripping your old seats, a can of paint stripper and a pressure washer does an awesome job. Rattle can of metal etching primer and your choice of paint. The paint will bubble where you apply polytac, but isn't visible and sets up well. Such an awesome product. Dang @TradeCraft, those seats turned out real nice! I still have a hard time believing that we can have some really nice comfortable leather seats without paying upholstery shop rates.

TradeCraft,
What did you paint the seat metal with? I am about to redo one of mine and see how it turns out. Daniel at Sport Aircraft has been very nice to deal with so far.
Thanks,
Gypsy

I like SEM rattle can etch primer in grey. It's pretty cheap and seems fairly tough.

Well, these aren't exactly cheap. Just over $1K per seat.

Re: Sport Aircraft Seats is a BCP sponsor

Your seats look great! Long time member/lurker here. I too just finished installing my Sport Aircraft Seats and could not be happier. From the beginning, Daniel at Sport Aircraft Seats was very helpful in helping me find the right solution for my 180. He was always quick to respond to emails and always answered when I called. I had lots of questions about color, material, headrests etc and his counsel was golden. Truly top notch. From order to delivery was not more than a few weeks. Then the product arrived...Daniel and the Sport Aircraft Seats team truly knocked it out of the park. Workmanship and fit is incredible. I have a stock co-pilot seat and an adjustable pilot seat from a different year in my 180. Daniel quickly recognized this from the photos and nailed it. Both front seats are perfect. Back seats are Atlee’s and the cushions are great and easy to remove. After 4 flights, the seats are truly very comfortable and a significant improvement. Again quality is outstanding and customer service was second to none. I would recommend these seats to anyone and would purchase again. My frames were brown initially, so during the install process I had them powder coated flat black.

Re: Sport Aircraft Seats is a BCP sponsor

Another happy customer here. Sport Aircraft Seats was able to make custom cushions for a more comfortable seat and aesthetic look but retain the flexibility of the jump seats. The pilot's seat was made thick and wow it is much easier to land when you can see the top of the cowling. This project can be done in a weekend if you are not painting the frames.
