Can you give me some suggestions of suitable landing spots (on wheels) for my pacer that are close to good trout fishing up there?
MontanaPacer-
I wish I had something to offer you.
Thing about that ad is, this isn't where people come to fish. The lake trout in Wonder Lake are scrawny, mal-nourished affairs owing to the very limited circulation which is confined to the very northern tip of the lake. You can catch arctic grayling in the creek that runs right alongside 5Z5, but if you are coming to Alaska for fishing, don't come to Denali's north side. I'm sure Portage Creek, or Glacier Cub, or Dot AK, or pretty much anyone else south of me could direct you to better wheelplane fishing.
Another thing about that ad- the landing spot in question is a ridge top, which gets at why you don't just pitch camp and cast your line there.
