spotted at Alpine Wyoming

And you think you had a bad day? Wow, it's going to take more then duct tape to fly this out. STOL, you hear anything about this? "Modifications" seems like the right place for this? Image

Re: spotted at Alpine Wyoming

Tom...... I have not heard a word about the "mishape"..... It looks to be parked down on the west end by Bills Wiemann's hangar / grass strip.... We have has some pretty nasty winds lately so maybe it was blown over while parked ? With that much damage you would think the FAA would show it on the incident reports........... Oh silly me,,,, because of sequestration,, they quit providing that list online..

Edit...... The FAA accident site has been changed and moved to a "less then decent" new format...... I went back 3 weeks and no report of the incident.... my guess is whoever did it is ashamed or it was a flip over while parked crash.. #-o

Re: spotted at Alpine Wyoming

It was at the very end, on the right, while I was headed to the res. North end I guess. Didn't look like any tie down area nearby. It looks pretty beat up for a flip over, I'm thinking a flip over at some speed, like a landing incidence. But enough wind could do all that even parked, and let's not forget Alpine is in Wyoming! Though it's nothing like the wide open spaces being in that big bowl, still in Wyoming

That appears to be the bird. So, how did you get that picture and what happened?
