joejenie wrote:You should look into Western Wyoming/Southeast Idaho. Home of the Husky (Star Valley/Afton Wy). Great airpark there in Afton and a really nice one in Alpine, WY. Tons of grass strips and beautiful flying by the Tetons. 2 hour flight to the Idaho Back Country. I just put my own home there for sale and I'm building a new one when it sells. I grew up in the area, so I'm biased of course.

The Selway is less than a half hour flight, the Frank Church River Of No Return is an hour away. (Even in a Cessna 150.) The Bob Marshall is an hour.
The winters are relatively mild, summer is not bad, occasionally a little smoke from forest fires. The people are incredible, the schools are awesome. Wal-Mart an hour away in Missoula.
Close to Glacier, Close to Yellowstone, no sales tax....
Hiking opportunities are second to none.
It borders Idaho, "A Pilot's Paradise"
I wasn't born here but arrived as quickly as I could.
