good luck.....but try the stinson yahoo site (groups.yahoo.com). As far as I know most have used the awb2500. Since you have a -1 you will need ski axles. I believe only the -3 came stock with the heavy duty ski axles necessary for ski mounting so you will need to find a set of the heavy duty axles which i hear are hard to come by. I think really you have to find a set of -3 lading gear is the easiest way to get them. Also do you have float fitting as this is the easiest way to tie in bungees and wires. The other choice is a tab for skis that also is not available any more. However if you do not have the faa to deal with I know some exhaust clamps around the gear legs can also work.

Lots of ways to fabricate ski tabs and attachments. And, legally.

The Fli LIte 3000 ski uses a very different mounting attachment to the axles than do the AWB skis. I think you can pretty easily have a mechanic fabricate attach hardware for your existing axles.

More importantly, are the Fli Lites approved on the Stinson TC, or are they STCd? If not, you are going to have to find a VERY benevolent FAA Maintenance type to field approve that. Good luck there.

I don't know what name the Stinson TC's are listed under, so couldn't find the TCDS. Anyone know if there's an approval for these skis on this plane?

So, then you'd need an STC to install on a Stinson.

I have rigging for a Stinson on fluid-dyne Fli-lite 3000 skiis, not sure if that does you any good. I don't know how it compares to the federal rigging.

Lance

I am looking for a few parts to rig the Fli lites to my 180, if anyone has any leads :D

What portion of "rigging" are you looking for? If you have the axle adapters, you can fabricate everything else you need. It's all just cables, bungees and attach tabs.....

I need the outboard axle stubs. Wipaire has one of them for $600, and has no intentions of having anyone build any more. I tried to locate some last spring, but came up empty.

Anybody have any leads? if I can't find any, maybe I will have to come and see MTV with a tape measure and caliper to get some dimensions on the stub :D
