I am in need of some STC supporting documents for the 6A-350-CR1 engine. All of my documents where lost in a vehicle break in. My engine was installed under the Seaplanes Inc. STC. According to the FAA I can use another airplane's STC paperwork as long as I have my form 337. If someone could get a message to mountainmike I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Might want to order the CD for the plane from the FAA. That is what I did when documents were missing for a float installation on my Champ.
Other than that Rhyppa may chime in if he sees the thread. He had a Stinson with the 220 Franklin and may know its where abouts to try and help out with paperwork.
Good luck

I doon't think the FAA would have any of the "STC supporting documents" (blueprinnts, specs, etc), at least in the aircraft file-- they would just have the filed 337. Did you look up the Seaplanes Inc STC number? Maybe someone else owns it now and can help you out.

Unfortunately the FAA will not release any information on STC's. I went around and around with them. Even though the Franklin Engine Comapny no longer exist(and the STC is basically in limbo) they will not release the STC Data. I have the data disc but it only shows 337's and not the POH supplement that's required for flight. I will keep a digital copy of all paper work from now on. I have however found a few 220 owners that are going to help me out. Thanks for the help.

Seaplane Inc no longer exist. Their building burned years ago and the company split up.

I have a good friend who has a 220 F 108-3 and I may be able to get the docs from him as well.
I will have a try at it.

I'll volunteer the IA/AP who did my install. He happens to be the proud owner now as well.if you haven't sorted this out yet, PM me and I'll give you his contact info.
