Had a little adventure in mind, and was going to make contact and see if the owner of this private airport would mind if I dropped in. But the number listed for the owner and manager in the FAA information is no longer in service. I went to look the airport up in the Shortfield database, but WN45 is mistakenly referenced to another airport in the Palouse, and Take Five isn't in the database anywhere. I looked up the owner/manager by name, and found a reference to a serious car accident three years ago, but not a fatal one. Hopefully he is okay...

But regardless, I can't reach him. Bummer. Might be a real missed opportunity. A friend is running the Yakima River Canyon Marathon tomorrow. If I could land at WN45 I could cheer on the runners at the point where there is nobody that even has access by road to come see them. That seems like great fun.

If anybody has any way to contact the owner, let me know, but otherwise, just noticed this little gem and couldn't get any info, so if you have any post it here for others to know.

There are building lots for sale on that airstrip. maybe the phone number in this add will get you permission to fly in to look at a lot.

brown bear, that is the number and the gentleman I can't reach. He is listed as the owner/manager everywhere with that number, but no dice.
