There are those pilots that are one with their plane. This plane is one with the air.
Lynn Sanderson (Dirtstrip) passed away from natural causes in May 2013. He was a great contributor and will be missed dearly.

No surprise that all the greatest aero engineers in history, from the Wright Bros. to the golden age air racers to the great WW2 designers to the space program to the Rutan bros. to the stealth program to the human powered aircraft programs to the high altitude solar and fuel cell stuff flying today... were and are all avid model airplane people. It's the greatest education on how things fly in the world, IMHO better than an engineering degree. Balsa flies better
