Re: TFR over Portland, OR 5/7/2015

For all the unwashed, can you explain the difference between the two areas: 32nm radius TFR and 12nm radius NO-FLY centred on the same point. Can I fly in the TFR but not in the No-Fly? Do I get shot down in the No-Fly but only fined in the TFR?

Need to know before some student pilot asks the grizzled master with the ATPL.

Usually in Seattle you can operate within the 30 mile zone on a flight plan with flight following, or IFR of course. No fly part is no fly.

Right - no touch and goes or practice maneuvers - but you can get arrivals and departures approved.

What I mean to say is any so called (POS) person of stature who gets a TFR is not welcome IMHO. Not political at all. =D>
