Thanksgiving

It's that time of year again and before I make the trip (driving unfortunately) to my brother's house for the holiday, I wanted to express my thanks to Zane for creating this site and to this community of pilots. You all have helped me find a new kind of joy in aviation - while being patient with my timidity over very short/rough LZs. To paraphrase Archie Ferguson, "Christ I love to fly...again"

Thanksgiving

No, thank YOU all for joining in. Not much here other than a techie blowhard without the community and the shared experiences of all who are willing to participate. And a big thanks to everyone who has donated over the last year. Having that support has been huge.

Have a safe and fun holiday weekend.

Re: Thanksgiving

Thankfulness has been on my mind a lot recently, and not just because of the approaching holiday. I'm sometimes overwhelmed at the thought of how good we have it and how much we have to be thankful for. A good chunk of that are the relationships that have resulted from connecting on this site.

Take care everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Thanksgiving

I, too, am thankful for the friends I've met on this site and in person because of this site. Of course, that's a drop in the bucket compared to all the wonderful things to be thankful for. I could start counting now and not be able to list all of them before next Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving, all. :D

Re: Thanksgiving

Ham with cranberry chutney glaze and twice baked potatoes, stir fried zucchini and yellow squash, the old orange jello salad (called rabbit food in my family) and topped off with home made dinner rolls. Lots of butter.

Do you actually think that the Pilgrims would have eaten turkey if they had had any ham left? No way!

A little football.

They would if it was deep fried :-)

Thanksgiving

Didn't have much time but dad and I stole off down to the frosty pasture to try out our new Ruger target triggers. Ruger 10-22, green mountain .920 bull barrel, Wolf Match .22LR, 50 yards. This is a Thanksgiving tradition I'll never tire of.
