It's a little odd that his door was open before the engine died. And that he remembered to grab his selfie-stick.

If it was a stunt (looks like it to me), then that seems like a good way to hurt people on the ground or start a fire.

On a related note, I think some people think this is how pilots normally handle engine outs. :roll:
