The photography of our own BRD

Brad's been on BCP since day one (I think) providing us with great photos from Minnesota flying, and making us very jealous. :D He's been instrumental in making the new BCP look good. Thanks Brad!

Enjoy:

Re: The photography of our own BRD

Agreed, I could look at BRD's photos all day. And the planes he hangs around are amazing. I've suspected for a while that he actually lives in the Elysian Fields for aviators.

-DP

The Elysian Fields or Elysium refer to a beautiful meadow in Homer where the favored of Zeus enjoy perfect happiness. By the time of Vergil (Virgil), the Elysian Fields had been located in the Underworld as the home of the dead who were judged worthy. In the Aeneid, those blessed dead compose poetry, sing, dance, and tend to their chariots.

Sounds about right to me!

Beautiful photography! BRD--thanks for sharing all of the great photos.

Patrol Guy--the plane over the forest is a Bush Hawk.

Cool! Thanks Z! 8)

(The red airplane is a Found FBA-2C2. Lyc IO-540. "Bush Hawk" - what tw said)

Too many mosquitos for Elysium. (But lots of chariots to attend too at any rate.) Flying in this part of the country really is fun. It has nothing on AK of course (different ballgame), but the zillion landing areas (lakes) and a fairly benevolent public attitude towards sea and skiplanes (part of the landscape people grow up with) let you go just about anywhere in the state, Summer or Winter.

BRD,

All your pictures are awesome, but do you have a favorite over all the years???

I can't pick just one myself!

Re: The photography of our own BRD

Zane wanted me to pick some favorites. But I really don't have many, or I should say, way too many! I've just now started digging into the archives (over multiple hard drives) and looking at what's there. Am refraining from sending landscapes without an airplane in the shot somewhere. Way Way Way too much to go through... Zane will have to decide what he thinks is okay. (I do like that one shot of Craig looking at the camera from the 170B. The light was good there and he was having a ball.)

Yes I know Mary. I sometimes fly her Cub from point A to Point B if she needs it moved and is too busy. She's very cool! 8)

I trained and received my SES with her in that Cub. Took my check ride with Brian.

We had a great time. Nice to see the pictures. Thank you.

I added 11 more photos. Too good to not just keep adding more.

That one's got T-shirt written all over it. Would make a great motif for a fly-in T-shirt.
