This is a perfect world after all.

Tom Weiss perished in a mid-air collision October 12, 2014. He was an enthusiastic and beloved contributor here for close to 10 years, and he will be missed greatly.

Nice catch Tom!
The photo itself made me ponder but I was wondering if anyone would notice the tail wheel on the floats...hence..."things that make you go hmmm".

Have been talking to the folks at Full Lotus about some amphib experimental floats and the tail wheel floats are what we are considering!
Should be way easier on the floats and the aircraft!

Just looking at the floats.
This might just be some beaching gear not amphibs.
Not certain though.

A friend of mine built a set of woodern floats for his homebuilt Fisher Super Koala, then later added retractable landing gear in t/w configuration. The tailwheels looked like little skateboard wheels.

Cessna Skywagon -- accept no substitute!
Thats a cool video. No brakes, he's got it in reverse to keep from rolling ahead & goes in & out of beta to inch down the ramp.
