Tips for Anchorage on straight skis?

Thoughts on best transient/ fuel/ tiedown options going into Anchorage on straight skis?

Merrill ski strip?? I know it' got an ACE fuel station now. Are there lots of spaces and electric plug-ins to go around?

Thanks for any advice.

Glaciercub-

Thanks for the tip.

I heard 400 vehicle accidents in town yesterday.

Happy to be sitting on the ground up here, watching the ski flying improve hourly :D

Re: Tips for Anchorage on straight skis?

We had NO snow here on river wed night..... now 8 inches, some places in ER/Birchwood report 11+

should you need a place to crash ( oh poor choice of words) I mean rest.... I have guest cabin here on strip.

AK 66 Just Land EAST of Windsock ( east of big cedar fence) I'll be working on the house all weekend. House is at southeast of strip
about 500 ft. the one with TYVEK siding....... opps there is another with alaska siding but not near strip. I have power at tie downs
too. Have mogas as well....

Be Safe

Re: Tips for Anchorage on straight skis?

Thanks for the generous offer. I'm not actually planning on flying down anytime soon. I started this thread just to learn what others do when heading to Anchorage. Wondered if there might be a great option I didn't know about. I've used Fire Lake before, but that's not exactly convenient to downtown.

Cheers,
