Tires for FluiDyne Skis

I am picking up a pair of FluiDyne 3200's next week for my Skywagon and I need to order up some wee tires.

The drawings call for 600x6 or 700x6. Anyone have any experience on what to run? Brand? Ply?

Thx!

Greg,

Depends on the rigger arms. I believe the stock rigger arms will permit 7.00 x 6.00. There are rigger arms out there that will accept 8.00 x 6.00.

I’d bet that 7.00 is what you’re going to have to run.

Thanks... but more simply I'm just after which actual tyre to buy. LOL. There is only one arm on the IPC (PN 10D2684) and the drawings only call out for 600 or 700, so I have to stay with legal parts. For me, the obvious choice is the 700x6.

The problem is that I've been such a big tyre snob that I have no idea which of the wee little ones to pic. hahahaha. My Wagon even came with 600's, but the first act of defiance I did was to toss them in the bin. #-o

Anyway... I was looking at the Air Trac 6 ply. 700-6 6 PLY STA AIRTRAC (AA1H4)

I know that from manufacturer to manufacturer there can be a huge difference in height. I have two sets of 8.5x6's for the wagon and they have a 1" difference in height even though they are both supposedly the same tyre. I'm sure I'll Sisyphus it up with a couple of different tires to get it right, but if someone already has a good match...

Re: Tires for FluiDyne Skis

Talking to Wip, they tell me there is 2 different arms. MTV is correct on that. It's a God awful amount to get a set of the new arms, I think 2500 per side, so if you really want to run 8.0o or 8.50s... otherwise I'd go the Air hawk. I've had good luck with them.

Re: Tires for FluiDyne Skis

Greg, of the 2 sets of 8:50's you have which are the taller and which are the shorter? Are they the same width? I need a new set soon and was wondering.

Thanks

You just need longer arms on the skis
