Toketee State Airport is only about 60nm NE of Grants Pass. We loaded up late Thursday and landed about 15 minutes before sunset.

This place is great with the exception there is no water nearby. So guess that means you just drink beer.

We woke up early and explored. I am now a convert to the hammock when able. Best sleep I have ever had camping.

No paper in the pilot registry. I am making a list of things I need to bring next time to spruce the place up.

The FS must of been just in here doing some slashing. You see the ground can be soft.

Because of all this slashing there is PLENTY of firewood.

There is a trail that TomW and I had explored last year, but now I believe it is a hand dug fire line. It keeps you above the creek.

No windsock when I landed. Either it broke and someone took it down, or someone broke it.

Broke at the threads. I measured all the parts so I can get replacements out there.

It would be awesome to figure out if there is an internet feed for this weather station located next to the windsock.

Can't talk about Toketee and not mention the Elk. There do a fine job of mowing the grass and keeping tiny tired Cessnas away.

Took off after exploring for brunch at the Trophy Room in Prospect.
